Pacitto Predictions – Week Five

Aston Villa 1-0 Sunderland: Sunderland are terrible on the road, severely lacking in goals; it won’t be a classic but a solid three points for Villa.

Cardiff 1-3 Arsenal: The North Londoners ease to a win to keep the chasing pack at bay. A spirited second-half display from Cardiff comes too little, too late.

All eyes will be on Aaron Ramsey as the Arsenal star returns to Cardiff.

Everton 1-1 Stoke: A decent point for Stoke but two points dropped for Everton; a shocking performance in a game they would have expected to win comfortably.

Norwich 0-0 Crystal Palace: The Tony Pulis “revolution” begins with a dreary game with no goals, which is more the fault of Norwich than anything.

West Ham 1-1 Fulham: The biggest London derby of the lot ends without a winner, with both sides still languishing near the relegation zone.

Newcastle 2-0 West Brom: A West Brom side with lots of injuries is unable to keep out an in-form Newcastle team, who sweep them aside early on.

Tottenham 1-1 Manchester United: A repeat of last season’s result, as neither side gets the points needed to gate-crash the top four, yet another dull game for the White Hart Lane faithful.

Hull 1-2 Liverpool: Hull like to keep things tight, it’ll be tough for Liverpool to break them down, but a quick flurry of goals gives them the points.

Chelsea 2-0 Southampton: Southampton fairly shown up away to Chelsea, easily their worst performance of the season. Chelsea making it easier than it perhaps should have been.

Man City 3-1 Swansea:  Swansea suffer the “Europa League hangover”, Manchester City cutting them apart but not quite replicating last week’s hammering.
